* Feeling annoyed with Popup ads? *

Go to Download.com and download a free program named 'Popup Stopper'. All annoying popup ads. will be gone!

Note that this program (and other similar programs) will block all popups, including the 'onsite' Java-Script popup windows. So, sometimes you may face a problem that you click on a link, but the page doesn't change. In that case, all you have to do is holding the 'Ctrl' key, while clicking on the link, until you see a new window showing up.

However, if a java-script window is written to be pop up on the first page; you don't know that beforehand & fail to hold the 'Ctrl' key, you may miss some 'good' messages (such as site announcements or sales promotions). That is the only drawback of this kind of programs.

To avoid that, you may

• turn the 'Popup Stopper' on only when you visit the free-hosting websites (e.g. Fortunecity, Angelfire, Tripod, Hypermart, etc.).
• just hold the 'Ctrl' key when visiting some specific sites.
• set the 'Popup Stopper' to play a sound or flash when a popup window is blocked, so that you know when to hold the 'Ctrl' key.
